Pricing and Info

We start at a standard rate of $30 an hour, pricing can vary between time and the type of training you have selected. Our training is owner and dog based, meaning you will be receiving valuable education along with your pup.

First session/Assessment: $30/hr

Leash Pulling: $45/hr

Basic Obedience: $45/hr

Advanced Obedience: $50/hr

Reactivity:$60/hr

Initial assessment

The initial assessment is for us to get to know you and your dog. This helps us understand how your dog reacts and what training we want to follow up with as well as what you expect in future sessions.

Leash Pulling

Leash pulling is a behavior that occurs in dogs due to a desire to explore the world around them. We encourage exploration, but, the leash can cause frustration which leads to excessive pulling. We use positive reinforcement methods to help solve the issue as well as recommending pain-free prong collars.

Basic Obedience

Basic obedience training will consist of many commands. Some examples will be : sit, come, lay-down, leave it and stay. We will build off these foundational commands in our advanced obedience training.

Advanced Obedience

Advanced obedience will take your dog to the next level. This program includes commands like heel, middle, touch and place. We will also focus on other cues to basic commands rather than standard vocal cues.

Reactivity

Reactivity is a very largely misunderstood concept in dog training, Dogs who are reactive are not always aggressive and aggressive dogs are not always reactive, we believe every dog is a good dog here at Vida. Being reactive dog owners ourselves we understand the anxiety that comes with walking or even simply being outside with your pup. We take a fear free approach to reactivity to allow the dog to understand that whatever its triggers may be they are safe with you. This training is dog specific and requires many sessions and continuous at home training.
